  12. 0.  PARTIES
  13.     (a) This license is a contract between you (the end user),
  14.         and Expandable Language, as the author and "Licensor" 
  15.         of this software.

  17.     (b) If you have any questions about this license, or find
  18.         any part unacceptable, please contact the Licensor at
  19.         the address given below, so that we may re-negotiate
  20.         the terms of the license.  You cannot use this
  21.         software if you do not agree with the license.

  23.     (c) This license grants you the right to use the unregistered
  24.         version of this software for a trial period of thirty
  25.         (30) days, starting from the date you first run a 
  26.         version of the software.  During this time, you may 
  27.         use the software, and see if you like it.  If you 
  28.         decide to continue using the software, you must pay 
  29.         the registration fee of twenty nine dollars (US$29.00) 
  30.         to the Licensor.  After this time, you will receive a 
  31.         registration key for the software, and a license to 
  32.         have unlimited use of a single copy of the software.
  33.         One licensed copy of the software may either be used 
  34.         by a single person who uses the software personally on 
  35.         one or more computers, or installed on a single 
  36.         workstation used nonsimultaneously by multiple people, 
  37.         but not both.

  39. 1.  COPYRIGHT
  40.     (a) This software is Copyright (c), by Expandable Language,
  41.         1996-2000. The accompanying documentation files are
  42.         also copyrighted.  All rights reserved.

  44.     (b) You may make one (1) backup copy of the software and
  45.         manuals for archival purposes, and may only use that
  46.         copy if the original fails in some way.

  48.     (c) You may make unregistered versions of the software
  49.         available over a network to be run on other machines, 
  50.         but you may not allow registered versions of the 
  51.         software to be executed over the network, unless you 
  52.         negotiate a site license with the Licensor.

  54. 2.  DISTRIBUTION
  55.     (a) Please feel free to distribute this software (the
  56.         unregistered version only) amongst your friends,
  57.         co-workers, etc.  You may upload it to any FTP or
  58.         BBS sites you like.  There is no charge to you
  59.         for distributing this software.

  62.         original files in this distribution, unmodified other
  63.         than expanding files contained in compressed archives,

  70. 3.  LIMITED WARRANTY
  71.     (a) Licensor warrants that the Software will perform

  75.         on the Software are limited to 90 days. Some states do 
  76.         not allow limitations on duration of an implied warranty,

  82.         PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, WITH RESPECT TO THE

  87.     (c) LICENSOR'S ENTIRE LIABILITY AND YOUR EXCLUSIVE REMEDY

  92.         replacement Software will be warranted for the remainder 
  93.         of the original warranty period or 30 days, whichever is
  94.         longer. These remedies are not available outside the

  97.     (d) This Limited Warranty is void if failure of the Software 
  98.         has resulted from modification, accident, abuse, or 
  99.         misapplication.

  101.     (e) Good data processing procedure dictates that any program be
  102.         thoroughly tested with non-critical data before relying on it.
  103.         The user must assume the entire risk of using the program.  
  104.         IN NO EVENT WILL LICENSOR BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR DAMAGES,
  105.         INCLUDING ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, LOST SAVINGS, OR OTHER 
  106.         INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR 
  107.         USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE. Because some states 
  108.         do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for 
  109.         consequential or incidental damages, the above limitation

  113.     (a) This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the 
  114.         State of California.

  116. 5.  MISCELLANEOUS
  117.     (a) If any part of this license is later deemed to be illegal
  118.         or unenforceable, then that part shall be null and void
  119.         to the extent of the illegality.
